Elijah Mothershed of BottomLine Productions has recently returned from
the West African country, Sierra Leone during a six month long onsite
cultural investigative study and recording of the people’s views as
to the new post-war era of rebuilding. From 1991 to 2002 the Sierra
Leone was locked in a horrific fratricidal war ended by the largest UN
peacekeepers disarmament undertaking ever. Highlighting the new positive
revitalization of a country torn to pieces behind the sale (trade) of
guns for diamonds. In Hollywood they call it the Blood Diamond incident.

This has been a three year project called Beautiful Women of Skid Row and now we too search for the cure, for the truth, for the love…….We Love Women!

Downtown LA Goes Pink For The Cure put on an event During The Downtown Art Walk for May 2011 “Beautiful Women” with the underlining theme that of Breast Cancer Awareness. In this video we feature the work of brother Crushow Herring recently on the hit ABC series Secret Millionaire/Skid Row/ John Ferber A funding member of several artistic organizations in skid Row such as 3 on 3 StreetBall Leagues, Skid Row Artists Collective, and a super dad, rapper and all around person; The Outdoors Skid Walk Chalk Mural. In side @ The Exchange we had a variety of artists, vendors, free information on breast cancer including statistics on breast cancer in men; The Was A Downtown LA Goes Pink For The Cure Gathering with music by Gary Johnson.
